Context and Flow: Verse-by-Verse Scripture Studies

A dictionary is a frozen jungle. That means we can’t limit God to our dictionary or credal definitions. Words are alive, interconnected in their natural habitat – their context within a sentence, paragraph, and chapter. However, when we trap a word in our rigid alphabetical dictionaries and systematic theological works, it becomes rigid, isolated, and confined to human categories, losing its contextual life and leading to many false expressions that veil truth. This verse-by-verse series is meant to release God from human limitations by letting Himself tell us Who He is to us in His natural habitat – the context and flow of the correctly cut Word of God.
