Following the Frontier: Short Stories of the Pioneers of Regions and Ideas

The English word “Pioneer” comes from an old French word meaning, “foot soldier.” A pioneer originates or helps open up a new line of thought or activity that prepares the way for others to follow. The pioneer does the difficult work of blazing a new trail while those who follow him have it a little easier as they tread the pioneer’s path. We, their posterity, owe it to them, and ourselves, to know their stories.

This page will celebrate the pioneers of both regions and ideas.
